Career readiness at Elizabeth Forward Middle School is all about helping students start building a plan for life after graduation—whether that means college, trade school, the military, or jumping straight into the workforce. The school counselors work with students to explore interests, strengths, and possible career paths through classroom lessons, small group sessions, and one-on-one meetings. They help students understand how today’s choices—like course selection, grades, attendance, and involvement in activities—connect directly to future opportunities. Counselors also introduce career exploration tools, goal-setting strategies, and real-world skills such as time management, organization, and self-advocacy.
